Larry Dean Cole age: 39, of Springfield died Saturday at St. John's Hospital.
He was born Aug. 19, 1957, in Springfield, the son of Joseph O. and Norma Powell Cole. An eight-year U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Cole was a graduate of Athens High School and was employed as a welder with Simplex Co. Survivors: mother, Norma Cole of Springfield; four brothers, Richard and Andy Cole, both of Chesapeake, Va., Pat Cole of Ashland and Jamey Cole of Springfield; three sisters, Linda Childers of Elkton, Va., Pam Heid of Petersburg and Libby Deiss of Springfield; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Remains will be cremated.
Memorial services: 6 p.m. Friday at the home of Libby Deiss. Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
