Cecil Hickman, 58, of Jewett died at 7:18 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 26, 2012). Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Dec. 31) at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. today at the funeral chapel. Full military rites will be conducted by Cumberland County veterans following the services.
Mr. Hickman was born on April 9, 1954, in Stuttgart, Ark., the son of Melvin and Mary (Synco) Hickman. Survivors include his fiancée, Irene Weaver of Jewett; one son, Michael Hickman of Vincennes, Ind.; two brothers, Clem Hickman of Osceola, Ark., and Melvin D. Hickman of Ulm, Ark.; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
